As of 08:15 Turkey time, Democrats held 192 House seats versus 110 for Republicans, with 218 needed for a majority, while in the Senate Democrats had secured 52 seats against 40 for Republicans, clearing the 50-seat threshold for control. The Senate result is the decisive development, giving Democrats a confirmed majority in the chamber. The House remains unresolved, with Democrats well short of the 218-seat barricade and Republicans still mathematically in contention for the remaining seats. Markets will watch the outstanding House races, since a divided Congress would constrain the legislative agenda regardless of the Senate outcome.
