Optimising the Rail Cube

The author has generated roughly 27 million Rail Cube layouts, a small fraction of an estimated 28 billion possible arrangements using every piece. The piece counts and loop-and-turn combinations define each layout, and the author's current favourite is presented as a benchmark for others to beat. With 99.9% of layouts still unseen, the author is confident a better design exists and has formalised the preference to invite challengers. What to watch next: whether builders can find a layout that uses every piece and surpasses the author's favourite.
