Safe smart account assets worth $57.6 billion... DeFi $12.4 billion reflected for the first time

Safe Ecosystem Foundation reported $12.4 billion in DeFi positions held in Safe smart accounts as of the end of Q3 2026, a net figure excluding $2.37 billion in borrowings, marking the first time DeFi exposure has been included in its disclosures. Total assets held in Safe smart accounts reached $57.64 billion at quarter-end, according to the foundation's October 30 announcement and Q3 report. The foundation clarified that the figures represent the value of assets held in Safe smart accounts rather than total assets on its financial statements. The inclusion of DeFi positions matters because it gives a fuller picture of capital deployed through the multisig infrastructure used across major protocols and chains.
